Peer Review Process

Review Process – Journal AT-Tashawwur: Journal of Educational Research

1. Review System
Journal AT-Tashawwur implements a Double-Blind Peer Review system, where both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

2. Review Stages

  1. Administrative Screening

    • The Editorial Team checks manuscript completeness, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, and adherence to author guidelines.

    • Manuscripts that do not meet the criteria are returned to the author (desk rejection for irrelevance).

  2. Reviewer Assignment

    • Manuscripts that pass the initial check are sent to two qualified reviewers.

    • Assignment is made by the Editor in Chief or Managing Editor.

  3. Review Process

    • Reviewers assess originality, relevance, methodology, scientific contribution, and citation accuracy.

    • Reviewer recommendations include:
      a. Accepted without revision
      b. Accepted with minor revision
      c. Accepted with major revision
      d. Rejected

  4. Editorial Decision

    • The Editor in Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations.

    • Review results and comments are sent to the author.

  5. Author Revision

    • The author revises the manuscript according to reviewer feedback.

    • Revisions are verified by reviewers or editors.

  6. Finalization & Publication

    • Once accepted, the manuscript enters the copyediting and layouting stage.

    • Finalized articles are scheduled for publication according to the journal’s issue.

3. Review Timeline
The review process generally takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of authors and reviewers.

4. Review Ethics
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, be objective, and avoid conflicts of interest.
