Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

AT-Tashawwur: Journal of Educational Research

I. General Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts must be original research or scientific studies in the fields of Islamic Studies, Madrasah Studies, and Cultural Studies.

  2. The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  3. Languages accepted: Indonesian or English with proper academic writing style.

II. Writing Format

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 3 cm (top, bottom, left, right)

  • Font: Cambria

  • Sizes:

    • Title: Cambria 14 bold

    • Abstract & Keywords: Cambria 11, single-spaced

    • Main text (Introduction–Conclusion): Cambria 12, 1.15 spacing

  • Text alignment: Justified

  • Paragraph indentation: 1 cm

III. Manuscript Structure

  • Title

  • Author’s Name, Affiliation, and Email

  • Abstract (in Indonesian and English; 150–250 words)

  • Keywords (3–5 words)

  • Introduction

  • Research Methods

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • References

IV. References and Citations

  • Reference style: APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association).

  • Minimum 80% of references should be from primary scholarly journals published within the last 5 years.

  • Authors are encouraged to use Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Example:

  • Book:
    Arikunto, S. (2018). Prosedur Penelitian Suatu Pendekatan Praktik. Rineka Cipta.

  • Journal Article:
    Ahmad, A. (2022). Educational values in Madrasah. Jurnal Pendidikan, 5(2), 100–115. https://doi.org/xxxxxx

V. Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism (maximum 20%).

  • Authors are responsible for the originality and validity of the content.

  • All citations and references must follow the correct format.

  1. Naskah berupa hasil penelitian atau kajian ilmiah yang sesuai dengan fokus jurnal: Studi Islam, Kajian Madrasah, dan Kajian Budaya.

  2. Naskah orisinal, belum pernah dipublikasikan, dan tidak sedang dalam proses penilaian di jurnal lain.

  3. Bahasa penulisan: Bahasa Indonesia atau Bahasa Inggris yang baku dan ilmiah.

II. Format Penulisan

  • Ukuran kertas: A4

  • Margin: 3 cm (atas, bawah, kiri, kanan)

  • Font: Cambria

  • Ukuran:

    • Judul: Cambria 14 bold

    • Abstrak & Kata Kunci: Cambria 11 spasi 1

    • Isi artikel (Pendahuluan–Kesimpulan): Cambria 12, spasi 1,15

  • Justifikasi teks: rata kiri-kanan (justify)

  • Paragraf: indentasi 1 cm

III. Struktur Artikel

  • Judul

  • Nama Penulis, Afiliasi, dan Email

  • Abstrak (Bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris; 150–250 kata)

  • Kata Kunci (3–5 kata)

  • Pendahuluan

  • Metode Penelitian

  • Hasil dan Pembahasan

IV. Referensi dan Sitasi

  • Gaya Referensi: APA Style Edisi 7 (American Psychological Association 7th Edition).

  • Referensi minimal 80% dari jurnal ilmiah primer, terbitan 5 tahun terakhir.

  • Disarankan menggunakan Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote.

  • Naskah tidak mengandung plagiarisme (maksimal 20%).

  • Penulis bertanggung jawab atas keaslian dan keabsahan isi naskah.
