Abstract

Accreditation and assessment of an educational institution regarding the feasibility and performance of an educational institution carried out by the National Non-Formal Education Accreditation Board (BAN-PNF), the results of which are in the form of recognition of the worthiness of an educational institution, this is an activity that is very helpful for educational institutions in improving the quality and quality of educational institutions organized by accredited educational institutions, including Early Childhood education institutions. According to Sallis (1993) quality has three concepts of understanding, namely: 1) Quality as an absolute concept (absolute), that is, something is called quality if it meets the highest standards and cannot be surpassed so that quality is considered to be an ideal that cannot be compromised such as: goodness, beauty and truth, in this case, quality shows the superiority of status and position. 2) quality is a relative concept. 3) quality according to customers. In general, quality can be defined or interpreted as the degree of excellence of a product and work, both in the form of goods or services.

PAUD is an educational institution for early childhood that is non-formal starting from the age of 0-6 years. PAUD Education institutions provide provisions for children to welcome the next education through educational oriented play activities. Activities organized by early childhood education institutions aim to shape the personality of the child in accordance with the expectations of parents. Accredited educational institutions receive support from the government, community and the private sector in terms of morals, funds, personnel, and professionalism, improve the quality of education and the development plan of educational institutions and can motivate educational institutions to continue to improve the quality and quality of education held by them. In addition, accreditation activities also greatly assist educational institutions in efforts to improve and maintain the trust of the community to continue to join and support educational institutions in the process of providing education.
